WBJS Forest School News
Franklin have enjoyed their forest school with Whittle & Spark this week. On Monday they mixed their own dough and baked bread on the fire. Then they used their carved wooden knives to spread butter and jam and enjoyed eating them sitting in the woods. An amazing hunting lodge was built on the hilly corner. Big games were played. Woodland washing up was done beautifully. Mud kitchen magic happened. They even found an amazing arum lily. This plant has featured on David Attenborough Wild Isles series and the children were interested in it's unusual life strategy. Bread dough mixing was interrupted by the discovery of a large and beautiful moth under our large lime/linden tree. It obligingly walked from hand to hand as the children stayed calm but delighted!
